The Macan Msrp Review – More Versatile Than Ever

The Porsche Macan Msrp may be an excellent choice if you’re looking for a luxury compact SUV. It has a powerful engine, many features, and a sporty driving experience.

The standard engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 261 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. But if you want more power, the Macan S and GTS have 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6s that make 375 and 434 horsepower, respectively.

Important Model Of Porsche Macan

1. The Base Model

The Macan Msrp is a well-equipped luxury SUV that starts at $57,500 for the base model. It features a 261-horsepower turbocharged inline-four engine, a seven-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive.

It also has a power liftgate, a universal garage door opener, tri-zone climate control, leather upholstery, a 10.9-inch touchscreen display, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and satellite radio.

It isn’t as luxurious or comfortable as its higher-end rivals but delivers a solid driving experience. The steering, for example, is precise and has an impressive amount of feedback.

While it may not have its rivals’ luxury features or ride quality, the Macan is an excellent choice for a sporty and capable luxury SUV. It also boasts many advanced driver-assist features, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and self-steering park assist.

Porsche has a long history of introducing innovative technology to its vehicles. It has developed a comprehensive suite of driver-assist and connectivity features across the range.

For instance, the Macan has an integrated rearview camera and rear parking sensors. It also offers a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

The Macan has a very well-designed interior with high-quality materials and trim. The dashboard controls and instrument gauges are sporty and focus on providing the driver with transparent access to the vehicle’s functions.

Inside the Macan is a backlit center console and a 10.9-inch touchscreen running the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system. PCM is a newer version of the company’s software, but it does offer a responsive and intuitive interface that provides you with all the relevant information at your fingertips.

Porsche offers several packages that can be added to the Macan, including an adaptive suspension and the Macan T’s Sport Chrono package. The most expensive is the GTS Sport pack, which costs $11,910 and adds 21-inch performance wheels with summer tires, carbon fiber and Race-Tex finishings, and green-stitched leather upholstery. It also includes the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system and a sports exhaust.

2. The Plus Model

The Macan is a powerful SUV that is fun to drive and has plenty of space for passengers. It is available in several trim levels, including the base, GTS, and Sport models.

The base model costs $57,500 and has a 261-hp turbocharged inline-four engine. It also offers a variety of driver-assistance features and connectivity options. Its standard features include a 10.9-inch touchscreen display, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The base model also has a 10-speaker audio system, satellite radio and four USB-C ports.

It has a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a power tailgate. The seats are comfortable and supportive, with eight-way power adjustment for the front seats and a leather sports steering wheel with gearshift paddles.

Powered windows, power doors and door locks, remote keyless entry, and three-zone climate control are all included. A fully automatic power tailgate and a universal garage door opener are also standard.

While it might not be as sporty as the Macan S, this is an excellent option for drivers who want a lot of performance but don’t want to spend much money. The Macan T’s turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine is good for 261 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a seven-speed PDK transmission and all-wheel drive.

As with the Macan S, the T uses Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus to make it more agile and responsive in corners. It also has a 10-millimeter ride height drop and stiffer anti-roll bars than the standard Macan.

The T has a 0-60 mph time of 5.8 seconds and hits a top speed of 144 mph. It is also more comfortable on the highway and has a more refined riding experience.

Some bespoke exterior design cues allow the T to stand out from the pack. Agate Grey Metallic is painted on the front fascia and aero side mirrors, while gloss black window trim and dark titanium wheels complete the look.

The Macan T has much to offer with its adaptive air suspension, stiffer anti-roll bars, and tuned brake-based Torque Vectoring Plus. It’s a more capable SUV than the base Macan and doesn’t sacrifice a bit of comfort.

3. The GTS Model

If you’re looking for a Porsche with more oomph, consider the Macan GTS. The Macan GTS has several upgrades that give it more power and performance than the Macan S, including a new 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine and a new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The GTS is the most potent model in the Macan lineup, with a 0 to 60 time of 3.6 seconds and 12.2 seconds through the quarter mile. It also features a broader range of driving modes and Porsche’s traction management system.

It isn’t the most responsive SUV we’ve ever tested, but it slings corners with remarkable composure and control. Almost every other compact SUV we’ve driven can’t match the Macan GTS’s quickness and grip.

In Sport mode, the GTS’s suspension is locked in its stiffest position, and the gearbox takes a vested interest in keeping revs near the top of the powerband. Together, this helps the Macan to feel more like a sports sedan than any other SUV we’ve ever driven.

The Macan is an excellent option for drivers who want a premium SUV with a lot of horsepower and torque but don’t need more money to purchase the more expensive Cayenne models. You can choose from various alloys, paint colors and interior trim options to customize your Macan.

You’ll pay a little more than the base model, but the difference in performance is worth it. The 2.9-liter engine is a serious improvement over the previous model, producing 375 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. Of torque, and it hits 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds (or 4.3 with launch control).

Fuel economy is also improved over the previous model, with a city and highway rating of 19 mpg combined. That’s better than the Mercedes AMG GLC 63 but not as good as the BMW X3 M, which manages 17, 15 and 20 mpg in those same metrics.

Its steering is also more natural-feeling than any other SUV I’ve driven, with flashing balance and poise that evokes a sports sedan. This and the Macan incredibly planted character make it one of the best driving experiences in a luxury crossover.

4. The Sport Model

When you step up to the Sport Model of the Macan Msrp, you get all the basic features of the Macan plus a few additional perks, including a more aggressive exterior look and a higher-output engine. It also offers more driver assistance, which includes a forward collision warning system, lane departure and blind-spot warning systems.

Like the other models, the Sport model comes standard with Porsche Communication Management (PCM), a high-definition touchscreen that serves as a central hub for navigation and other multimedia functions.

It can also accept the iPhone(r) via Apple CarPlay(r), which lets you stream audio and control your phone from the steering wheel, even when you’re behind the wheel.

You can also opt for an adaptive suspension, which uses a system of dampers to help keep the Macan steady on rough surfaces. You can also choose from various performance upgrades, including a sport exhaust system and a sport steering wheel.

If you’re looking for a more athletic drive, you can go with the range-topping GTS trim, powered by a precision-tuned variant of the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 that delivers an incredible 434 horsepower and a 0 to 60 time of 4.3 seconds. Other features include a 7-speed PDK transmission, Porsche Traction Management and a sport air suspension.

With a plethora of luxury, comfort and performance options to be had at additional cost, the Sport Model can easily cost well over $100,000. For example, our top-spec tester with the 2.9-liter engine and a few options came in at $95,180.

Despite its size, the Macan has plenty of interior space for five people to travel in style and safety, especially for front-seat passengers. However, there is little cargo space for carrying luggage and supplies.

The Macan is one of the best options if you’re shopping for a new SUV. It has safety features and is much more fun to drive than premium crossovers. You can find the Macan right for you and your lifestyle with some research. Before deciding, you’ll also want to consider the Macan fuel economy, safety and other essential factors.
